Description: Ciborium is a vessel contains the altar bread for the laity. It is to be made of the same materials as the chalice, although the specifications are not as stringent for the ciborium as for the chalice. The ciborium is allowed to be richly decorated like the chalice. The ciborium should have a knob on its stem for easy handling. Its cover should be a pyramid or sphere and should be topped with a cross.
