St. Christina of Bolsena (Christina of Tyre, Christina the Great Martyr) is venerated as a Christian martyr of the 3rd century. Christina was the daughter of a wealthy pagan magistrate who had his daughter tortured because of her faith, but God thwarted his efforts on several occasions. The nature of the torture varies. Her symbol shows a millstone and arrows, as she was tortured by drowning tied to a millstone and assailment by arrows.
